Patrick Willcocks

This blog is about urban areas; yes cities and town; what make them work; their challenges and opportunities. Much of it is focussed on Birmingham as I live and work in the city currently but have worked across England and visited cities across Europe for work and play.

Cities fascinate me both visually but also intellectually and I hope to bring out this twin faceted approach through this blog.  I am an economist, town planner and photographer who is experienced in European and International policy and funding areas.

I am a freelance policy and strategy adviser.
