We are joined in Birmingham tomorrow by colleagues from Vilnius and Warsaw for our Cross Innovation project policy clinic looking at how various different brokerage services can aid the interaction of the creative sector with other sectors with a view to kick starting innovation. Details of best practice projects in Vilnius and Warsaw can be found on the Cross Innovate website
Together, we want to look at ways we broker to connect creative sectors and other growth sectors, what we need to do to make connections more effective in our cities and to come up with 3 ideas to share with the EU.
We aim to address these key points:
- What is the situation now for brokerage in the city
- What are the key sectors we want to cross innovate (CCIs and other growth sectors from the city Matrix)
- We will then look at how we achieve our goals – what do we need to do to support cross innovation in terms of brokers on the ground.
We are being hosted at the Moseley Community Development Trust’s building in Birmingham, where they run a successful co working space called Moseley Exchange
