Fantastic New Park in Birmingham

View of the City Centre through the park with Millennium Point on the right hand side

Just visited the new park in Eastside in Birmingham. Fantastic design, quality materials, lovely planting, quirky and fun. Very highest standards…best thing to happen in Birmingham for years

  1. Must visit. As you say – looks a good addition to the city’s possibilities. Is it good for just strolling along?

  2. There is a kids play area and the Science Garden…plus a refreshment cabin….but mostly for strolling and reflection. Not sure if it is planned to use parts of it for outdoor cultural performances?

    1. It’s a pity they have put ugly big fences on the stepped area to keep skaters away. It would have been better to design it to be skate friendly.

      1. Are you sure it is because of that – or is it that the park isn’t quite finished?
