Compilation of some of the key thinkers in Birmingham on twitter #birminghamthinkers

2013 LIST IS NOW CLOSED

This is a list of who people, including myself, think are important thinkers in Birmingham – as suggested on twitter. Just to clarify..I think they need to show their thinking via twitter …as well as through other  media of course. To be included on the list they need to have been put forward by someone else

  1. What about @indieloveUK AKA @Timmy666 champion of indie music, coffee and the music scene, amongst other things!

No offence, but some of those councillors are borderline simpletons.

    1. OK. No offence taken at all! I don’t know everyone on the list and it does rely on recommendations. This is a trial. I think in developing this idea next year I will need to structure it better, get proper proposals and then have a twitter vote at the end. I am doing this to stress that we need to give prominence to thinkers and not just the rich and famous. This is very much a beta version

  3. How about @bcualisterscott ?

    1. Agree…will add him

  4. I’d add @dubber – internationally renowned expert on music industries and digital technology. Also @daveharte who is widely consulted on issues relating to hyperlocal media. Both are my colleagues at BCU, so I’m not completely impartial but I do see how in demand they are.

    I would add @hodgehillvicar

I think @localisewm and @pigsonthewing should be in there.

A very good start…well done Patrick for taking the initiative. I think all those listed whom I know deserve to be on such a list.

    1. Thanks Adnan….there is real expertise all across Birmingham and we should make more of it! Hope you are well. Best Patrick
